Vera Bradley Summer 2012 Launch is 'for the birds...'

Today is a gorgeous day in Denville, 80 degrees and sunny- a perfect day for our Vera Bradley Summer 2012 Launch! The four new patterns came out today and certainly get us in the mood for summer. Since we asked customers which was their favorite new pattern on our Facebook page, we thought it was only fair to ask some of our in-store friends what they thought. These four little friends told us which summer pattern was their favorite:

{ She loved Doodle Daisy }

{ He opted for the Lime's Up since it coordinated with his flowers ;) }

{ Our pink-lovin' friend loved the bright Priscilla Pink }

{Our last friend is patriotic, so naturally he loved the red, white, and blue in the
Summer Cottage pattern}

A Fresh start...

Happy 2012! We had a fantastic Holiday season and are so appreciative of everyone who shopped local this year! So far 2012 has been filled with buying appointments and trade shows including the Accessory Show in New York this past week. Next week is the release of the new Spring 2012 Vera Bradley patterns and styles which we are very excited about. We're planning a fun launch and hope you can stop by!

This week we got in some fantastic product- including beautiful mirrors and artwork all made in the USA. Additionally, we got in some elegant, unique chandeliers and lamps, which are shown below. We wish you all a wonderful start to 2012 and hope to see you in the shop soon!

Denville Pride!

Ever since Hurricane Irene so many people in Denville have pulled together to rebuild our little town. The support has been amazing and just proves what a wonderful community we live in. The Harvest Festival at the beginning of the month was a wonderful opportunity to see other business owners in town and of course our lovely customers! Here are some of our best sellers from the day:

[Leaf votive candle holders]

[Cinnamon Cider candles- the perfect smell of fall]

[Stretchy initial bracelets]

[Bronze owl paperweights that make cute decorative items]

[Spiderweb wine bottle stoppers- perfect for Halloween parties]

This past weekend was Denville Up & Running and Band-Aid on Broadway where once again we got the opportunity to see how many people love Denville and the amazing support system. We sold the t-shirts we got made that read 'Denville's Back...' on the front 'Now Back Denville!" on the back. It was awesome to see so many people walking around wearing the shirts... here's a few of them:

We're back!

As you may already know the past month has been very hectic for us at the store! Hurricane Irene was not very kind to our cute little downtown Denville. However, we are looking onward and upward: We're excited to be open after the hurricane and can't wait until other Denville businesses re-open in the future! This weekend we'll have a booth set up at the St. Francis Harvest Festival and look forward to a fun day for Denville. At the store we have some great new Fall and Halloween merchandise, the new Vera Bradley Winter patterns that came out last week, new clothes, and new jewelry! We also got several new headbands in. Yesterday, Nancy and I had fun taking a few pictures of some of the new ones :)

New Home Accessories

We've been busy over the last couple weeks getting ready to stock up on new home goods, gifts, jewelry, and personal accessories for the Fall and Holiday Season! We went to the Accessory Show and the Gift Show in New York and also met with some of our reps for buying appointments. We're excited about all the new merchandise we'll be getting in over the next several weeks; here are a few fun home accents we already got in:

A touch of Paris

We think these new little Eiffel Tower hooks are cute + classic looking. Sold individually, these hooks can be used in a variety of ways. In a kitchen two or three in a row would look adorable holding kitchen mitts or colorful mugs. In a hallway, a great place to hang your keys! Or (my personal favorite) they can be used to hold a couple chunky statement necklaces in a bedroom. We'd love to hear your creative ideas on what you would use these hooks for! xo.
