Denville Pride!

Ever since Hurricane Irene so many people in Denville have pulled together to rebuild our little town. The support has been amazing and just proves what a wonderful community we live in. The Harvest Festival at the beginning of the month was a wonderful opportunity to see other business owners in town and of course our lovely customers! Here are some of our best sellers from the day:

[Leaf votive candle holders]

[Cinnamon Cider candles- the perfect smell of fall]

[Stretchy initial bracelets]

[Bronze owl paperweights that make cute decorative items]

[Spiderweb wine bottle stoppers- perfect for Halloween parties]

This past weekend was Denville Up & Running and Band-Aid on Broadway where once again we got the opportunity to see how many people love Denville and the amazing support system. We sold the t-shirts we got made that read 'Denville's Back...' on the front 'Now Back Denville!" on the back. It was awesome to see so many people walking around wearing the shirts... here's a few of them:

We're back!

As you may already know the past month has been very hectic for us at the store! Hurricane Irene was not very kind to our cute little downtown Denville. However, we are looking onward and upward: We're excited to be open after the hurricane and can't wait until other Denville businesses re-open in the future! This weekend we'll have a booth set up at the St. Francis Harvest Festival and look forward to a fun day for Denville. At the store we have some great new Fall and Halloween merchandise, the new Vera Bradley Winter patterns that came out last week, new clothes, and new jewelry! We also got several new headbands in. Yesterday, Nancy and I had fun taking a few pictures of some of the new ones :)

New Home Accessories

We've been busy over the last couple weeks getting ready to stock up on new home goods, gifts, jewelry, and personal accessories for the Fall and Holiday Season! We went to the Accessory Show and the Gift Show in New York and also met with some of our reps for buying appointments. We're excited about all the new merchandise we'll be getting in over the next several weeks; here are a few fun home accents we already got in:

A touch of Paris

We think these new little Eiffel Tower hooks are cute + classic looking. Sold individually, these hooks can be used in a variety of ways. In a kitchen two or three in a row would look adorable holding kitchen mitts or colorful mugs. In a hallway, a great place to hang your keys! Or (my personal favorite) they can be used to hold a couple chunky statement necklaces in a bedroom. We'd love to hear your creative ideas on what you would use these hooks for! xo.

Pretty Little Things...

Every once in a while people ask if we carry little pill boxes and we are excited to be carrying these adorable ones with vintage-inspired prints. They're little with room for a few pills and snap shut so they can easily be thrown in a purse. Along with the pill boxes are matching business card holders! Simple, fun little presents for yourself or a friend.

College Essentials- Vera Bradley Edition

With back to campus just around the corner we decided to highlight some of our best sellers for back to college!

The laundry bags are colorful, sturdy, + great for toting clothes to the laundry room at school (or bringing laundry home on the weekends!) These limited time items flew off our shelves in the first two days they were released and we're so happy to have some back in stock.

The laptop backpack is useful for carrying books, notebooks, laptop, etc. to classes! (also popular for books is the 'Vera' style bag)

Shower caddy + flip flops (shower shoes) are dorm room musts; the Vera Bradley ones are bright & adorable.

Lanyard & zip ID are ideal for carrying keys and holding a school ID. The mini hanging organizer is great for organizing cosmetics and will take up little space hanging in a dorm room or bathroom.

The XL duffle holds a lot of clothes, shoes, and accessories- ideal for carrying belongings back and forth from school!

The colorful note cube is perfect to jot down quick notes. A school agenda is essential for keeping track of homework, appointments, etc.

We hope to see you at the store soon- be sure to tell us your favorite back to school essentials!

Stationary that brightens your day

The Vera Bradley Fall 2011 stationary is too cute for words! I couldn't resist getting the Safari Sunset note cards, the bright hues add such a pop of color to my desk. Below are the Safari Sunset & Mocha Rouge note cards. Each pack comes with 12 cards + envelopes.

How cute are these giraffes?

The mocha rouge stationary mixes the pattern with three adorable vintage dress forms:

Everyone loves to get a handwritten card, especially when the cards are as adorable as these!
